Mayday Records in Houston, Texas was originally created to release the experimental music of Infant Mortality Rate. Although its web presence is new, the label traces its roots back to 1991 with IMR's first release. This is a casual record label, not a corporate empire, and not even a profitable business. Mayday was created in the DIY spirit and continues as such unabated.
